Rebecca Eggleton
Wearable Art Designer
About me...
My creative practice sits within the field of contemporary wearables. I am particularly interested in exploring ways to merge both fashion and 3D design. My work explores the importance of detail, perfection and patience, primarily using time consuming hand crafted techniques. By blurring the boundaries between these two areas I have created a body of work that has a strong and unique identity. I aim to create work that is non-functional and purely for exhibition, whether this be on a catwalk, within an exhibition space, as part of a window installation or used in a fashion editorial.
I am deeply passionate about passing on my creativity, therefore running parallel to my creative practice I have been working within schools, colleges and galleries gaining experience with a diverse range of community groups. This has included running and assisting art lessons and creative workshops aswell as planning and delivering collaborative art projects. I aim to explore teaching as my career pathway to further this passion.
